Kids and their TV Shows

It seems that every child has a favorite TV show that they watch as a toddler.  Claira loves Yo Gabba Gabba.  I find it easier to watch than the teletubbies.   At least Yo Gabba Gabba has good music and actual understandable dialog.  I recall my other kids liking Barney and Thomas the Tank Engine.
So if you find yourself at my home and Claira is awake, chances are Yo Gabba Gabba will be on the set :)

Video Games Live Tonight

Tonight at Nokia Theatre, the Video Games Live show is in the house.  The show consists of a live orchestra and video of the game scenes that go with the music.  It is a pretty neat show.

Just Finished BSIT with University of Phoenix

I completed my BS in Information Systems with the University of Phoenix recently.  The graduation ceremony was in Ontario last Saturday.  I found the online experience valuable.  While computers and I go back a long way, I learned a lot by interacting with other students and the faculty.  I plan on pursuing my Masters beginning in August (right after the X-Games).  For those who have a crazy work / home schedule, I highly recommend UofP.  While not cheap, the flexible class schedule has its advantages.  Regardless of what you choose to do, the pursuit of higher education is really worth it!

Fun at Nokia Theatre 6/7/2011

Nintendo is broadcasting their E3 presentation at Nokia Theatre this morning.  For those who subscribe to G4TV, you will be able to watch it.  I can't wait to see what new stuff Nintendo will announce.

A Technical note:  Truck Engineer's should not be surprised that fiber does not fire when they do not actually clean their fiber.  Regardless of what is claimed, the fiber scope does not lie.

Welcome

Welcome one and all to California Jimbo's Blog of Many Things. Here is the place where I inform, comment and otherwise rant on things that either interest me or deal with my work. I will discuss some of the fun shows I am working on downtown as well as family fun and politics as I see it. I am not right 100% of the time but I am willing to be educated in all things.

Sit back, relax, pop a diet soda and enjoy the ride!
